Your travelogue about your Malaysian trip was a wonderful bonus for me. I had the good fortune to visit Malaysia years ago and stay with a family there. Yes, it was hot, but I quickly learned how to live with the heat by following their example. Once you break your day with a nap in the hot afternoon and extend it by expending your extra energy in the cool of the evening and the morning, the climate is not a problem. The food and culture is so wonderful it is worth a little adaptation. Thanks so much for reviving a lot of memories.Susan Lunihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17799333297406389634noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639104039967253280.post-11550264725526066882011-07-14T11:08:33.778+10:002011-07-14T11:08:33.778+10:00what a fantastic set of impressions to sum up with...what a fantastic set of impressions to sum up with. so much colour and life, and the contrasts. that would just about do my head in. it looks like you had a great time, and i think the temple of chaos would be my favourite too!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639104039967253280.post-8937003848879771432011-07-14T08:06:06.064+10:002011-07-14T08:06:06.064+10:00I haven't been to Malaysia for 7 years, and yo...I haven't been to Malaysia for 7 years, and your posts are making me think that a return trip might be in order. I love, love, love the concept of high tea with satay, just as I love the curry for breakfast.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639104039967253280.post-90951484075475651552011-07-13T12:16:18.515+10:002011-07-13T12:16:18.515+10:00Thank you for your delightful summarisation of you...Thank you for your delightful summarisation of your trip.Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07760744006915967397noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639104039967253280.post-83000565643654295802011-07-13T10:06:17.941+10:002011-07-13T10:06:17.941+10:00Thanks, Lyn. I'd forgotten some of what we saw, but your post brought a lot of it back. Did you visit the Cameron Highlands? That was really...strange. A sort of momument to post-coloniality. But the agriculture was quite incredible. Apparently they feed their whole country and Singapore from those terraced fields.M-Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18409916623998907121noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7639104039967253280.post-87311569518422016622011-07-13T08:56:45.340+10:002011-07-13T08:56:45.340+10:00As always, a wonderful wrap-up and great observati...As always, a wonderful wrap-up and great observations about your experiences.<br />Although I am still a bit gobsmacked about the high tea with satay! I've determined instead to read them all at once when I can put a bit of time together to do them justice.
