Back in touch

After a week and a bit, I finally have both the telephone and internet connected to my new apartment. Even though I've had access to the internet at work, I've been surprised by how much I've missed pottering around on the net at home.

I'm settling in, but have still not finished unpacking. I'm on the verge of being depressed by the chaos, so I've set myself a deadline of the end of the weekend to finish. I think I hadn't anticipated that moving is hard physical work and that I'd find it as tiring as I have.

Anyway, in a few days I'll have it all done...then some pictures.

In the meantime, among many other things to enjoy, I love the morning light that streams through the large east-facing windows. Now, to create enough order to sit and enjoy it.

I had no internet for a day this week (due to very nasty virus on my computer) and that was terrible!! So I'm glad you are wired up again, and that soon you can sit in the morning sun and surf the web to your heart's content.

Great to see you back in touch.

Moving is absolutely exhausting and achieving that feeling of being able to sit and enjoy the space is so important.

Wishing you speedy unpacking.

that little picture tells a lot about how lovely your new space is going to be. unpacking is such a nightmare, and i cant stand boxes so i get obsessed and just do it all at once. i wouldnt recommend it though. take care, not long now.

Moving is like boot camp - a lot of exercise and weight lifting. I think that the mess, and inefficiency of having crucial items in boxes is depressing. Your plan to knock it over sounds like a good one

There's no doubt about it - moving is emotionally and physically draining! At least the worst is behind you and you can find pleasure in the new apartment.

You have done so well in such a short time. What a lovely outlook from that window, and such a nice place to sit by, look out, while having a nice cuppa and knitting.
